CSE faculty members participate training program on “Strategic Planning for Institutional Development”

Vidya faculty members  strengthen their understanding of strategic planning processes and institutional development practices by attending various sessions. Training Programme on “Strategic Planning for Institutional Development” was organized by NITTTR Cochin Extension Centre, Kalamassery, from September 22 to 26, 2025. Dr. Sanaj M S (Prof, CSE Dept) and Dr. Joycy K Antony (Asso Prof, CSE Dept) participated in the programme.

The sessions focused on empowering educators to play a proactive role in institutional advancement through effective leadership, planning, and implementation of educational reforms.The programme emphasized developing strategic vision, mission formulation, outcome-based education, and sustainable development initiatives.

The sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons who shared their expertise on various aspects of institutional development. Dr. G. Janardhanan (Professor,Civil Engineering, NITTTR, Chennai) and Dr. E. S. M. Suresh (Professor,Civil Engineering and Head, Extension Centre, Kalamassery, Cochin) delivered insightful sessions that provided valuable perspectives on strategic planning frameworks, leadership development, and sustainable institutional growth models relevant to engineering and technical education.

  • Explain the significance of Outcome Based Education (OBE) and its implementation.

  • Understand the Accreditation Process for technical institutions.

  • Comprehend and implement the key features of NEP 2020 and the National Credit Framework (NCF).

  • Initiate and enhance activities aimed at Generating Institutional Revenue.

  • Motivate faculty and staff to actively contribute to institutional development activities.

  • Explain the Organizational Structure and Leadership Qualities required for effective management of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).

  • Highlight the importance of Green Campus Initiatives and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
