Cancer detection camp at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thalakottukara

A cancer detection camp was held at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology(VAST), Thalakottukara under the combined efforts of Vidya Social Action Society, Vidya NSS Units and Department of Oncology, Government Medical College,  Thrissur. The camp was inaugurated by Velur Panchayath President, Ms Sherly Dileep Kumar. Dr Sudha Balagopalan, Principal, VAST Thalakottukara, presided over the function. Dr Mahadevan, Head of the Deparment of Oncology, Government Medical College, Thrissur delivered a session on “How Cancer can be prevented”. Felicitation address was delivered by Mr Ramanunny Pandiyath, Secretary, Vidya Social Action Society, Mr Suresh Lal,Finance Director, Vidya International Charitable Trust and Dr Smitha Kochu Menon, Velur Primary Health Centre. The camp was attended by over a hundred members of the Velur Panchayath, Faculty, Non Faculty and students of VAST, Thalakottukara.
