CSE students qualify for Smart India Hackathon (Hardware) 2018 Grand Finale
Yet another great achievement by Vidya students!
The AICTE has just put out on its website the lists of the finalists of the Smart India Hackathon 2018 (Hardware Edition) under various themes and the names of Vidya’s students appears in two separate lists, in Automobiles/Smart Vehicles Theme and in Clean Water Theme. The students are Sreelakshmi T D and Nikhil P S from the S6 B Tech (CSE – B, 2015 admission) batch of the College and they are the leaders of the teams which participated in the Hackathon. The institutional SPOC’s (Single Point of Contact) for the teams were Mr. Ravishankar S and Mr. Jayakumar T V, both Assistant professors in CSE Dept.

About Smart India Hackathon 2018
MHRD, AICTE, Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Center (i4C), and Persistent Systems are jointly organising Smart India Hackathon 2018, a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country.
Smart India Hackathon 2018 is a non-stop digital product development competition, where problems are posed to technology students for innovative solutions. It has two sub-editions – Software and Hardware:
- Software Edition will be 36 hour software product development competition, similar in concept to Smart India Hackathon 2017
- The Hardware Edition will be a hackathon where teams will be work for 5 straight days and build their hardware solutions.
