Vidya’s NSS volunteers’ efforts at popularising local train services
The NSS volunteers of the College distributed handouts containing information about train timings at Puthukad railway station, details of train fares and information about important railway services to the local people in an around Puthukad and Amballur areas on 29 May 2018. This campaign was intended to assist the local people to use the services offered by Indian Railways with ease. Ms K Rajeswari, Alagappanagar Panchayat President, inaugurated the programme. Around 100 NSS volunteers actively participated in the campaign under the guidance of Mr Arun Lohithakshan (AP, ME Dept and Secretary, Train Passengers Association), Mr Vishnu P C (Volunteer Secretary) and Ms Anusha T R (Volunteer Secretary).
