CE students support flood relief camps at Kozhikode
It was told that almost everybody in Kerala volunteered in providing help to mitigate the pain, suffering and loss of the thousands of people who were affected by the recent mega-deluge that ravaged Kerala recently. The NSS volunteers, groups of students and individual students, faculty and staff members were all in the fore-front of flood-relief related activities. Detailed reports of such activities are slowing coming in. (Obviously, for Vidya family members, the priority is not in filing reports, but extending a helping hand.)
Here is an early report. A group of students of the Civil Engineering Department of the College took an initiative to collect materials like cloth, medicine, etc. and handed over the collected materials for distribution among the flood victims to Govt authorities at the Collection Centre near Kozhikode District Promotion Tourism Promotion Council offices on 15 August 2018.
