They dared to talk about . . . and won first prize in Women Hackathon!
A team of three girl students of S6 B Tech (CSE B) batch – Shoukkiya Ashraf, Safana P B and Shabana P J – won the first prize, with a cash component of Rs 3000, in Hack the Night competition, the very first 24-hour women hackathon event conducted in North Malabar! The venue for the competition held on 2 – 3 February 2019 was Government College of Engineering, Kannur.
The hackathon was centered around building chatbots based on a given problem statement. The team from Vidya created a chatbot ‘ReGl_A’ which would assist the user on problems relating to menstruation. They implemented it aiming to change the approach of society towards menstruation.
