CSE student wins FOSS Young Professional Award

Subin Siby (S4 B Tech CSE B) attended the FOSS Young Professional Meet (FYPM) held at Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, on 9 – 10 February 2019 and was selected for the FOSS Young Professional Award for his contributions to the FOSS community. FYPM is an annual event conducted by ICFOSS, an autonomous institution under Government of Kerala.

As part of the FOSS Young Professional Award, Subin presented his contributions to FOSS. The FOSSersVAST/LinuxChix VAST community and its activities were also showcased. FOSSersVAST is funded by ICFOSS. Everyone appreciated the efforts of FOSSersVAST. At the end, Subin was selected for award of the FOSS Young Professional Award with a cash component of Rs 8,000.
