100% pass for PMKVY course on Electrician Domestic Solutions

The course on Electrician Domestic Solutions offered under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and conducted by the EEE Dept of the College has recorded 100% pass in the assessment test conducted by  Power Sector Skill Council on 30 March 2019.  All the 19 students who appeared for the assessment test passed the examination.

The students were trained to carry out all sorts of troubleshooting in electrical circuits of domestic wiring, fault repair, alterations, maintenance and repair of home appliances like iron box, food mixer, water pump, drilling machine, water cooler, washing machine, LED bulb, etc. They were also trained to execute domestic wiring with earthing, to test the condition of wiring with meggar, to troubleshoot problems in domestic wiring, to provide connections to electrical appliances.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Vidya is an authorized training provider under PMKVY. The course was coordinated by Mr Vishnu Rach K R (AP, EEE Dept) and co-coordinators were Mr Jayaraj K V (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept), Mr Shibin P V (Trade Instructor, EEE Dept) and Mr Arun P R (Trade Instructor, EEE dept).
