Vidya’s techfest ‘VYVIDH 2K23’ creates a truly vibrant and diverse cadre of motivated youth

Vidya witnessed  a combination of expectation and challenges. Working with talented youth and watching their creativity as they recognize innovative solutions to the different challenges stands an awesome learning experience for everyone involved.  

The two day technical extravaganza ‘Vyvidh 2K23’ organised by the students from all the branches of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology during 17- 18 March 2023 showcased technological amusements and placed the broad sketch out of Techfest in the form of project expo ‘AVISHKAR’, ‘EXPRIMERE  – a  paper presentation competition and spot photography competition ‘SHUTTER UP’ with attractive prizes which went on to become a standard feature of the Techfest. Dr Saji C B (Principal) and Mr Manoj Chalakkal (PTA President) jointly inaugurated the event. Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean – Academics), Mr Sreevalsan Oduvil (PTA Executive Committee Member) Mr  Ramesh A R (PTA Executive Committee Member)  graced the occasion with their presence. A few days earlier, on 28 February 2023, Ms Haritha V Kumar (District Collector) had officially launched the Vyvidh2K23 website www.vyvidh.vidyaacademy.ac.in and released the brochure.

AVISHKAR – Project Expo In order to provide a medium for the free and fruitful exchange of ideas and information .A number of contestants presented their responses for the participation Among these innovators three of them succeeded for achieving the positions and rewards.

In between these experienced innovators, participated with their idea of “Track Mower Robot ” and wins the heart of everyone and rewarded with first prize .

The event was organized by the staff co-ordinator Mr Arun Xavier (Asst. Prof, EEE Dept) and student co-ordinators Aswin M W (S8, EEE Dept) and Rishikesh Krishan K (S6, EEE Dept) along with Avishkar Team Volunteers.
EXPRIMERE  – Paper Presentation Competition The paper presentation event, exprimere was conducted on 17 March 2023. The judging panel includes Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean-  Academics and Dr C Justin Jose (HoD, CE Dept). The participants were asked to present a paper on the topic, ‘Relevance of social media in the growth of Art, Culture and Technology’. They were given 10 minutes time for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion with the judges.

SHUTTER UP – Spot Photography Contest

The contest was conducted on 17 March,2023. The theme of the photography contest was “Emotions”. The participants were instructed to take the photos based on this theme inside campus.

VYVIDH 2K23 ended with the event ‘Choreonite,’ that witnessed a perfect blend of exciting music and stunning moves, along with a packed house.The meticulously implemented contest had the audience thirsting for more.The literary events continued to test the students’ creative skills in both group and solo performances.

Department Events

The fest, in association with the seven branches includes a variety of events with the  objective to bring the students of various streams from different institutions on a common platform where they are encouraged to share knowledge and innovative ideas to exhibit the talents and skills of the aspiring Engineers both in Technical and Non-technical ways.  The detailed report can be viewed as per the link given below:-
