Merit Day and Valedictory function of CSE Dept Association 2023

To honour final years  bright sparks, the merit day and valedictory function of Dept Association 2023 function was  taken place on 26t April  2023, at the College Auditorium.The function was a celebration of the academic excellence of the students in the Computer Science and Engineering Department.

The program commenced at 2.30 pm with a soulful prayer by Ragitha and team (S6 CSE Dept),setting the tone for an auspicious occasion. Following the prayer, Rangapooja was performed by Parvathy Ramachandran (S8, CSE Dept) which added a spiritual essence to the function.

A video showcasing the various activities and events that took place in the academic year 2022-23 was played, which was an excellent way to reminisce about the achievements and milestones of the department.

Dr Ramani Bai V (Head, CSE Dept) delivered the welcome speech, where she expressed her delight at the performance of the students and motivated them to aim higher in their academic pursuits.Dr Saji C B (Principal, VAST) delivered the Presidential address, where he praised the students for their hard work and dedication towards their studies.

The University Toppers from each semester were felicitated and honored for their outstanding academic performance. This was followed by an inspiring talk by Mr Paul Chacko (Head, Training and Placement) where he briefed the students about the placement status and the expectations of the industry. He also honored the placed students by giving them a token of appreciation. The students with extracurricular achievements were also felicitated, and their honors were done by the Principal and HOD.

The “Gem of CSE 2023” award was presented to Mohammed Siyad (S8, CSE Dept) and the “Contributor Award 2022-2023” was given to Gayathri Satheeshkumar (S8, CSE Dept) , both of whom expressed their elation on receiving the prestigious titles.

A technical talk on pursuing computer science careers during academics was conducted by Aadithye N (S8 CSE Dept). He shared his insights and motivated the students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields.

The program concluded on a high note, with a mesmerizing solo by Angel Joy (S4, CSE Dept).
