Meeting for ISV and Thirunelveli Project

Vidya serves  as a Nodal Centre for IEEE Smart Village (ISV) . Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics & Professor in EEE Dept) is co-ordinating the activities .

To empower school students from the weaker segment, a choice of vocational awareness programs  have been conducting at SoS Village by the Vidya staff members and students under her  leadership. Now the operations are being extended to 15 schools in Tamilnadu. As a first step , they are starting with the training program of the mentors in Thirunelveli district with the help of 6 student volunteers  from the Nodal Centre, Vidya.

To chalk out the plan and strategies to follow, an online meeting was held on 20 May 2023 at 7 pm. Dr Sudha Balagopalan congratulated and encouraged the students. The student volunteers (Sakthi S (S6, ECE Dept), Jesto K J (S6, ECE Dept), Sanjo P Rejin (S6, ECE Dept), Kiran M (S6, ECE Dept), Rahul Jayaram (S6, ECE Dept) and Vijith P V (S6, ECE Dept)) are representing  Vidya for conducting the session . Sakthi S and Sanjo P Rejin presented their ideas  in the meeting. Dr Siju K C (Head of VSEC and Asst Prof, AS Dept), Ms Nirmala Krishnan (Asst Prof, CE Dept), Ms Anooja V S (Asst Prof, EEE Dept) and Ms Surabhi M S (Asst Librarian) attended the meeting gave their feedback .
