EEE Dept organizes Alumni interaction with newly admitted students
With the aim of nurturing talented and deserving students for a better future,a comprehensive scholarship scheme ‘ROOTS’ was established by the alumni of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. As many as 12 students were admitted In the last year. Similar way in this year second version of ROOTS will be offered to the 2023 admitted students.
As an initiative EEE department organized a meet up with Alumni representatives (2007-11,2008-12,2009-13 and 2010-14 batch students) and newly admitted students on 03 August 2023. The meeting was conducted via google meet and around a total of 50 members joined including faculty members, alumni representatives and newly admitted students.
Dr. Sudha Balagopalan (Dean – Academics) addressed the gathering and gave an overview of ROOTS scholarship. Mr Nitin Padmanabhan (2003-07 batch) detailed about the structure of ROOTS scholarship.), Mr Paul (2007-11 batch), Mr Sangeeth U G (2007-11 batch), Mr Rahul Viswam (2008-12 batch) Mr Sreehari K (2010-14 batch) and Ms Ashmy Rose (2010-14 batch) expressed their views regarding the opportunities in Electrical Sector. The speech of Mr Ramdas U (2009-13 batch) enlightened the occasion with his inspiring words of wisdom and he explored various prospects and future aspects in the field of EEE. Meeting concluded with vote of thanks by 9.45 pm.
