School students attended  ‘Vidya Science Talent Test’ with much vigor and enthusiasm

To spot the young talents in the field of Science and to acknowledge their talents  by offering scholarship, Vidya, under the auspices of  Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), an initiative of  Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT) conducted the second edition of ‘Vidya Science Talent Test’ on 24 August  2023 in the online mode between 7.30 pm – 8 pm.

Vidya Science Scholarship for 5 years will be awarded to the most talented students who have recently graduated from the 7th grade and are now in their eighth grade. The Scholarship begins from the year 2023 to 2028 and aims at promoting science awareness among school students. The scholarship will be given yearly based on the progress evaluation throughout the academic year. The students will be selected through two rounds of Scholarship examination “Vidya Science Talent Test”

Selected students from first stage of examination will have to attend an offline exam at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology in the month of September 2023.Top five students would be the recipient of Vidya Science Scholarship(2023).

Ms Salkala K S (Asst Prof, MCA Dept) Dr Vineetha C P (Asst Prof, AS Dept)  and Aswin V P (S7 ME Dept) co-ordinated the test with  ardent support of energetic VSEC team members Abin Joshy (S5,  ME Dept), Akhila M (S7 , ECE Dept), Evelina Rose Joju (S7, CSE Dept) and Sreya M S (S5,  ECE Dept). VSEC Student Volunteers and Core team members extended wholehearted support. Dr Siju K C (Head of VSEC, Asst Prof, AS Dept)  has been guiding the team with the constant support of Er P K Asokan (Chief Patron, VICT) and Adv. P N Unnirajan IPS Retd (Director of VSEC, Director-Administration, VICT).
