EEE Dept conducts alumni interactive session with Dr Nitin Padmanabhan  

Vidya Alumni have achieved new pinnacles and always  made Vidya proud in many fields.The learning and experiences during the college days have styled them to shape their profession and research field.

With an objective to inspire the engineering students towards technical skill augmentation, along with creating scientific awareness,  Dr  Nitin Padmanabhan (2003-07 batch, EEE Dept ) addressed the students (2023-27 batch, EEE Dept ) on 10 August 2023. along with Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean –Academics) After securing B Tech degree, he served Vidya as an Assistant Professor in EEE Dept during the period 2009 – 14.He successfully defended his PhD thesis from University of  Waterloo in  2019. Currently he is serving as Senior Engineer Scientist, Grid Operations and planning at Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

Dr  Nitin shared his experience as a student and as a faculty in the campus. He conveyed the significance of active involvement in projects,  other extra and co-curricular activities etc for the overall development of the students.  He conveyed the significance of active involvement of IEEE and the overall development that he could attain by the active involvement in that. He also discussed the forthcoming opportunities in energy sector.
