MCA Orientation Programme 2023

To provide an overview about the academic course, pursued by the students, the Department of Computer Applications organized an Orientation Programme on 19 September 2023 at 9:30 am for the newly admitted students in the College auditorium.

Dr Reji C Joy (HoD ,MCA) welcomed the 18th Batch of MCA students, their parents and the gathering. The presidential speech was delivered by Dr Saji C B (Principal, VAST). The chief guest Dr Ali M A (Head, Life signals India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, Psychologist, Hypnotherapist, Trainer& Former Professor, GEC, Thrissur) gave the keynote address.

Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT), Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (retired) Director – Administration, VICT), Mr Ashokan E G (Trustee Co-ordinator, VICT) and Dr Sunitha C (Vice Principal &HoD, AIML) felicitated the newly admitted students.Mr Paul Chackola (Head, Training & Placement) gave an overview of the placement scenario. Mr Akshay B Nair (2021 – 23 batch, MCA) gave felicitations as a special invitee. Mr Dijesh P (Asso Prof, MCA Dept and Convenor, Orientation Programme) offered thevote of thanks.

Dr Ali gave a “Motivational talk” to the gathering. His talk was very well acknowledged by the audience. Finally in the next session, a brief overview of the College as well as the facilities available in the college and the Department was given.This was done through a presentation by Mr Ajay James (S3, MCA) and Divena Maria (S3, MCA). All faculty members and staff of the Department were introduced to the parents by the Head of the Department. The important aspects of the rules and regulations of the college were also explained.
