Vidya hosts E Zone Kabadi Championship

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University E Zone Kabadi Championship was held at Vidya on 28 October 2023. 11 teams in men’s category (Government Engineering College Thrissur, ICCS College of Engineering and Management Thrissur, Thejus Engineering College Thrissur, NSS College of Engineering Palakkad, Jyothi Engineering College Thrissur, Government Engineering College Palakad, Eranad Knowledge City Technical Campus Manjeri, Christ College of Engineering,Irinjalakuda, MGM College of Engineering and Technology Ernakulam, Universal Engineering College,Thrissur and Vidya Academy of Science and Technology,Thrissur) and 6 teams in women’s category (Thejus Engineering College Thrissur, NSS College of Engineering Palakkad,Universal Engineering College,Thrissur,Government Engineering College,Thrissur,Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, Kodakara and Vidya Academy of Science and Technology,Thrissur) participated in the competition.

Result

In men’s category, Universal Engineering College,Thrissur emerged as winners.Government Engineering College, Thrissur and NSS College of Engineering Palakkad secured first and second runners up trophy.

NSS College of Engineering Palakkad won the title and Government Engineering College, Thrissur and Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur got first and second runners up trophy in women’s category.

The event was co-ordinated by Mr Ramesh K V (Asso Prof, Physical Education Dept) and Ms Arundhathi Sasikumar (Asst Prof, Physical Education Dept) with the earnest support of volunteers.
