Vidya hosts “International Education Conclave 2024” in association with VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic
To broaden the horizons and foster a global perspective among students, Vidya hosted an International Education Conclave 2024 on 25 January 2024.The conclave, organised in association with VSB-Technical University of Ostrava:Czech Republic and M/s Edufly (India) provided the students with a unique and enriching experience.
Prof. Ing. Robert CEP, MSc., PhD (Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic) inaugurated the conclave. Dr Saji C B (Principal) presided over the function. Dr Sunitha C (Vice Principal, HoD, AIML Dept), Dr Abhilasha P S (HoD, CE Dept) Dr Rakesh Hari (HoD, ME Dept) and Mr Biju Varghese, Director-Edufly addressed the students during the inaugural function.
The International Education Conclave 2024 provided a platform for meaningful discussions, guidance and networking opportunities, about their academic and professional pursuit with the experts including that of Assoc. Prof. Zdenek Poruba, MSc.. PhD (Vice-Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic), Prof. Martina Perinkova, MSc. PhD (Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republica), Prof Kamila Janovska, MSc. PhD (Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic), Assoc. Prof.Katerina Skotnicova, MSc., PhD (Dean, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic).
The participants engaged in interactive sessions where they sought guidance on university courses, career prospects, and the scope of studying in respective fields. Participants gained valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Materials Science and Technology, both locally and globally. The experts also discussed the emerging opportunities in Engineering, with special focus on the Departments of Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
