Vidya hosts Anti-Drug Awareness Session

Vidya NSS units concentrate on various social issues of the society and conduct quite a few activities for spreading awareness in the society on different issues .

Vidya hosted an Anti-Drug awareness session on 05 August 2024. The event in the college was organized by Vidya NSS Cell in association with Vidya Anti-drug committees (Nerkoottam & Sradha)

Dr Sunitha C (Principal) in her presidential address, educated the students about the risks and consequences of abusing drugs. Mr Rajesh S K (Programme Officer, Asso Prof, EEE Dept) welcomed the gathering.

Ms Sathy K K (Women Civil Excise Officer, Excise Division Office,Thrissur) served as the resource person that helped the students to reinforce in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse. The session also created an awareness on the ill-effects of drug in a broad manner.

Mr Rajesh S K presented a memento to Ms Sathy as a token of gratitude. Mr Ranjith E R (NSS Programme Officer and Asst Prof, ME Dept) proposed vote of thanks.

The session was conducted under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officers, Mr Rajesh S K (Asso Prof, EEE Dept) Mr Ranjith E R (Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Ms Delmy Varghese (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) along with wholehearted support from NSS volunteers.
