Shaping Tomorrow, Honoring Today: Industry Insights & VSEC Volunteer Honors

Vidya conducts several programs aimed to guide and inspire final-year students by exploring career and entrepreneurship opportunities both in India and abroad.

The Placement cell and Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), a unit of Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT) organized an industry interaction session titled “Navigating the Future” on 17 March 2025.

Opening Remarks & Introduction

The event commenced with a prayer by Ann Rose Rajan (S6, AIML Dept) and a welcome address by Shafna (S4,  CSE Dept ) followed by a warm welcome and an introduction of the keynote speaker Mr Paul Chackola (Head, Training & Placement)

Keynote Speaker

The session featured Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudhanan (Secretary General of the Indo Gulf & Middle East Chamber of Commerce and CMD of Seagull International Group). With extensive experience in global business and industry, Dr. Madhusudhanan shared valuable insights into:

  • Career Opportunities: Employment trends, industry expectations, and essential skill sets.
  • Entrepreneurship: Steps to establishing a business, funding options, and success strategies.
  • Global Prospects: Career and business opportunities in the Middle East and Gulf regions.
  • Interactive Q&A: Students engaged actively, seeking advice on their career paths.

Special Addresses

  •  Er P K.Ashokan (Chief Patron, VICT) congratulated the speaker for his valuable insights and encouraged students to make the most of such opportunities.
  • Adv. P N Unnirajan (Director–Administration, VICT) shared insights into emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities. Also applauded VSEC Volunteer for their unwavering commitment and efforts.
  • Dr. Siju K C (Head of VSEC, Asso Prof, AS Dept) spoke about VSEC’s role in empowering students through scholarships, training programs, and social projects. He highlighted the importance of skill development, leadership, and community engagement.

Volunteer Recognition & Feedback

  • Three final year VSEC volunteers Gayathri Gireesh (S8 ECE Dept), Varundev A (S8, ECE Dept) and Sinan Sulaiman (S8, ME Dept) shared their feedback on how the organization has impacted their personal and professional growth.

  • The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Jithisha M J (S4,  CSE Dept) expressing gratitude to the speaker, guests, faculty, and students for their participation.
  • The event was compered by Gayathri (S4, ECE Dept).
