Vidya NSS units organise two blood donation camps in a week

The NSS units of Vidya along with IMA Blood Bank (IMA Blood Bank Complex and Research Center), Thrissur organised two blood donation camps on 07 June 2022 and 9 June 2022 at the College Auditorium. A total of 204 students and staff donated blood in the camp.

As many as 250 students had registered for the camp to donate blood. The initial plan was to conduct the camp on one day only. But due to the enthusiastic participation of students, the organisers were forced to conduct a similar camp on the second day.

On  the first day 07 June 2022, only 92 persons could donate blood due to time restrictions. As per a suggestion from IMA Blood Bank officials, the NSS units organised one more camp on  09 June 2022. Around 112 persons donated blood on 09 June 2022 including staff members of Vidya.

NSS units volunteer secretaries and Rudhirasena volunteers coordinated the camps effectively under the guidance of NSS programme officers Ms Chithra M (Asst Prof, CE Dept), Mr Rajesh S K (Asso Prof, EEE Dept) and Ms Ayana Ajith  (Asst Prof, CSE Dept).
