VSEC conducts project presentation on the assessment of existing energy consumption measures and the carbon footprint of Vidya Campus
With an aim to promote awareness of sustainable energy practices and encourage the use of data-driven analysis for understanding environmental impact within the campus, VSEC takes initiatives such as conducting project presentations, academic discussions and sustainability-focused assessments. The Training Wing Project Presentation – I titled “Assessment of Existing Energy Consumption Measures and the Carbon Footprint of the VAST Campus” was conducted on 5 December 2025 as an internal academic session. The programme was held in offline mode and had a duration of one hour.
The presentation was delivered by Jithisha U. J.(S6, CSE Dept), Chanchal (S6, CSE Dept) and Krishna K. B. (S8, EEE Dept) with active participation from four students and four faculty members. The session focused on evaluating the existing energy consumption patterns of the VAST campus and analyzing the corresponding carbon footprint. Emphasis was placed on understanding current sustainability practices and adopting data-driven methodologies for environmental assessment.
The presentation facilitated meaningful analytical discussions among participants, encouraging critical thinking on energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategies within the campus. The interactive nature of the session contributed to effective academic engagement and knowledge sharing.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Ms. Roshni Vijay (Asst Prof, CE Dept) and Dr. Siju K. C. (Head, VSEC and Asso. Prof, AS Dept), whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the session and overall academic effectiveness.
