NSS Units of Vidya partner with SRS for skill training
Social Research Society (SRS) India, in association with NSS Technical Cell, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, organized a three day residential training and placement drive at VAST during 4 – 6 August 2017. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Salih C P, Chairman and Managing Director of AASA GROUP. The presidential address was delivered by Sri. Abdul Jabbar Ahamed, Program Coordinator, NSS Technical Cell, Kerala. Sri. M Vijayakumar (Director, SRS), Mr. Jestine Joseph (Project Consultant, NSS Tech Cell), Dr. Nisam Rahman (Technical Consultant, NSS Tech Cell), Mr. P M Suresh, Monsy Varghese (Trainer), Mr Jaffer K K (Trainer), Ms. Suma C S (Professor, Government Engineering Collge, Idukki), and Mr. Anil Melepurath (Programme Officer, VAST) were present on the occasion. Training sessions were conducted on several key areas which would enable and prepare students for facing the requirements of industry. The key topics discussed in the various sessions included attitude building , job role training and work place culture, interview facing techniques and mock interviews. Upon successful completion of the training, candidates were given offer letters after interview with job providers.
