Vidya designated as Learning Centre for Accelerated Blockchain Competency Development programme
Vidya has been designated as a Learning Centre for the Accelerated Blockchain Competency Development (ABCD) programme of the Kerala State Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) which is a key initiative of Kerala State Govt. The programme aims to create a talent pool of 25000 blockchain technologists in three years.
The College arranged an awareness session on the ABCD programme for the benefit of the students on 26 June 2017 at the Advanced Computer Lab. Mr Prasanth K N from ICT Academy of Kerala addressed the students.
The Blockchain training programme has three modules – Blockchain Associate (30 hours); Blockchain Developer (90 hours); and Blockchain Architect (330 hours). The programme is developed and delivered by the Kerala Blockchain Academy, which is an advanced R&D department within IIITMK. The programme offers two-part certification wherein participants obtain a foundation skills certificate in full-stack and intermediate level skills. The full-stack programme of 124-hour duration was developed by the ICT Academy of Kerala.
Vidya has been designated as a “Learning Center” under this initiative to offer the first part of the course. The first part, called the full stack course, covers basic technologies viz. CSS 3, HTML 5, JS, Mongo DB, Express, Angular.JS, Node.JS, Python, and Go Language. The second part covering Hyperledger and/or Ethereum is offered only at three centers located at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode.
