Orientation Programme for MCA freshers held

The MCA Dept of the College organised an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted MCA students at 9.30 am  on 09 August 2018 in the College Auditorium. All students newly admitted to the first semester of the regular MCA programme and all students admitted to the third semester MCA class under the Lateral Entry scheme, along with their parents, attended the programme.

The programme had been divided into in two sessions.

The first session was devoted to the formal inauguration of the classes of the 13th MCA batch (the batch of students admitted during 2018) of the College. During the session, Dr Saji C B, Principal, Er Mohanachandran, Executive Director, Mr Sureshlal, Finance Director, Mr T N Devanandan, Head, Vidya Talent Cenre, and Dr Sudha Balagopalan, Dean-Academics, addressed the students and parents.There was a special felicitation by Mr Jithkrishna, a student representative of the outgoing MCA batch of the College.

In the second session, the College and the activities in the Dept were introduced to the newly admitted students via a talk by two S3 MCA students with the support of a slideshow presentation. There was also a brief presentation by Mr Paul Chakola, Head, Training & Placement  Department. Dr V N Krishnachandran, HoD, MCA Dept, explained the rules and regulations of the College and the the salient features of the academic schedule. The faculty and staff of the Dept were introduced to the parents. The Head of Department emphasised the need of the parents remaining in constant contact with the teachers, especially the Group Tutors of the respective batches.

The programme came to an end at 1.00 pm. Transportation facility had been arranged from the college up to Kaiparambu Junction for the benefit of the students and parents.
