Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay, becomes a Knowledge Partner of Vidya

The Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay has announced that it has agreed to form an association with Vidya Academy of Science & Technology so that the Spoken Tutorial Project becomes a Knowledge Partner of Vidya to provide basic IT courses, skill oriented IT courses, and software courses to students of the Vidya free of cost. The Principal of Vidya received a communication from the National Coordinator – Training of the Spoken Tutorial Project to this effect. The Project is a part of the National Mission on Education through ICT, HRD Ministry, Govt of India, to spread IT literacy all over India.

The Spoken Tutorials are very popular among students of Vidya. In the academic year 2018 – 19, as many as 330 CSE students successfully completed various computer courses under the Project. Faculty members of Vidya are also actively supporting the students  in pursuing courses under the Project. Recently, two faculty members Ms Aswathi M R (AP, CSE Dept) and Mr Arun Xavier (AP, EEE Dept) received special Letters of Appreciation from the Spoken Tutorial Project for their outstanding contributions in the implementation of the Project in Vidya.
