NSS units organise calligraphy contest and placard making competition
Human Rights Day
On 10December 2020, the volunteers of NSS units of Vidya conducted a calligraphy contest as part of the observance of “Human Rights Day”. This day is observed every year, as the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Khadeeja of S3 B Tech (CE A) won the competition.
World Energy Conservation Day
On 14 December 2020, the volunteers of the NSS units of Vidya conducted a placard making competition as part of the observance of “World Energy Conservation Day”. This day is observed to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation. Brindha Shaju of S3 B Tech (EEE A) won the competition.
Vijay Diwas
On 16 December 2020, volunteers of the NSS units of Vidya successfully conducted a quiz competition on behalf of “Vijay Diwas”. This day is observed in order to remember India’s victory over Pakistan in the war of 1971 for the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan. Volunteers released a video and poster showing the importance of the above mentioned day. Around 150 Volunteers participated in the online quiz competition.
