ME Dept celebrates Association Day 2022 at its finest with a host of activities
The ME Association (MEA) serve as pillar in the upbringing and the betterment of every student for exploring their talents and knowledge through curricular and extra-curricular activities and have been initiating several programs include training / seminars/ workshops to enhance the practical skill of students. With different socially committed activities, ME Association also cultivates a sense of social responsibility among younger minds.
The Mechanical Association hosted the annual association day on 29 November 2022. Dr. Rakesh Hari (faculty in charge of MEA and Asso Prof, ME Dept) welcomed the gathering and introduced the nominated student officials of the association committee. Dr Saji C B (Principal) presided over the function. Mr R Shankar (Asst Prof, ME Dept) introduced the chief guest to the audience. Mr Lakshmi Narayanan (MD, Metal Industries Limited, Shornur) served as the chief guest for the auspicious occasion. The chief guest delivered a technical talk on the topic ‘Systems, Practices and Procedures in a closed forging industry with emphasis on operational safety’. It was followed by an interactive session in which a few students put forward queries for which clarifications were made by the speaker.
Dr. Jayadevan K R (HoD, ME Dept) offered felicitations. Dr. Bhavin K Bharath (Asst Prof, ME Dept) and Dr. Vibin Antony P (Asst Prof, ME Dept) were honoured for the successful completion of their Ph D Program. The students showcased their talent in the cultural programmes and the programmes such as songs, dances and orchestra were a visual treat to the spectators.
