Brahmasmriti 2023
Er K R Brahmadathan who was the Founder Executive Director, VICT, was one of key persons involved in the establishment of Vidya, with its existing structure and a person who spend harmony among all with his yogic complacence.
On his 13th year of remembrance, Vidya organised Brahmasmriti 2023 on 18 September 2023 in Pranavam Auditorium .The program began with the presentation of Brahmayoga team led by Ms Arundhathi Sasikumar (Asst Prof, Physical Education).Eight year old girl Adheethi Ramesh (Daughter of Mr Ramesh KV & Ms Arundhathi Sasikumar ) added a special touch with her exemplary performance and movements throughout the yoga session.
Dr Ramani Bai V (convener, Head, CSE Dept) gave the welcome address by addressing the dignitaries and audience who expressed her gratitude for the visionary who played the vital role in building the Vidya. the Presidential address was given by Mr. K.K. Thilakan (executive committee member, VICT) who emphasized the role of Mr Brahmadathan in carving out Vidya and recollected some personal experiences. Dr Saji C.B (Principal ) addressed the dignitaries and urged us to uphold the values he has put forward. The Chief Guest was introduced by Dr. Sunita C (Vice Principal , HOD of AIML).
Floral tributes by the dignitaries were given in the memory of Brahmadathan. Following that the chief guest Dr. Pavan Madhusudan, Vice President – IMA, Thrissur, Consultant Pediatrician, Govt. General Hospital, Thrissur) addressed the dignitaries and audience and he commended the YogaVidya team for their glorious performance. He even told that he admired Er. K R Brahmadathan for his disciplined life and urged us to follow the same. He also added his words on the social dilemmas like substance abuse and asked the students to form a voluntary group within themselves to prohibit the same to shape India to become major leader in the year 2030.
Apart from these tributes were paid by the honorary dignitaries Er G Mohanachandran (Honorary Advisor & Non-Executive Director, VICT), Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT),Adv. P N Unnirajan (Administrative Director, VICT), Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics),Er Haridas M (Former KSEB Chief Engineer), Mr Manoj Chalakkal,(PTA President)who all illuminated the function with their golden words. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sivadasan E.T. (co-ordinator Asso Prof,CSE Dept ) The program was concluded with the national anthem .
Dr Ramani Bai V (HoD CSE Dept) and Mr Sivadasan E.T. (Asso Prof,CSE Dept ) served as convener and co-ordinator of the event.
