ME Students achieve top honors in World Plumbing Day Poster Competition
World Plumbing Day (WPD) highlights the vital role of plumbing professionals in ensuring public health, safety, and environmental sustainability. It is celebrated every year across all Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) Chapters with different activities to spread awareness about the importance of good plumbing practices.
This year, students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Vidya secured top honors in the Poster Competition organized by the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) Kochi Chapter as part of the World Plumbing Day Celebrations.
Abhijith M M (S6,ME Dept) and Pranav C S (S6,ME Dept) secured first and second prize respectively in the competition titled “Plumbing is More”. Their creative and insightful posters highlighting the importance of plumbing in modern society impressed the judges, earning them prestigious awards.Participants from various institutions competed, demonstrating their creativity and technical expertise.The prizes were distributed by Mr Bijo K John (Chairman, IPA Chapter, Kochi) on 22 March 2025.
The achievements of Mechanical Engineering students Abhijith and Pranav reflect the department’s commitment to fostering innovation beyond academics. Faculty members and students expressed pride in their success, calling it an inspiration for future participants.
