| Upholding Vidya’s values of excellence and discipline, the Semester Flag Off Meeting 2026, held on 30 June 2026, marked the formal commencement of the semester with a renewed focus on academic quality and institutional growth. |
| The meeting commenced with the welcome address by Ms. Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade,EEE Dept).In her keynote address, Dr Sunitha C (Principal) outlined the academic and co-curricular roadmap for the ongoing odd semester. She commended the dedicated efforts of the faculty and students, congratulating them on their excellent performance in the recently declared S2, S6, and current S8 examination results.She applauded the collective efforts of the faculty and students, congratulating them on their commendable performance in the monor, honors examination results as well.She also highlighted the institution’s recent achievements, including recognition in the PALS (Pan IIT Alumni Leadership Series) through the Trophy for Excellence in Performance and the PALS Partnership Award. Dr. Sunitha emphasized the importance of broadening research initiatives by fostering strong partnerships with industry and securing meaningful outcomes. She underscored the value of enhancing education through direct add-on courses developed in collaboration with external academic and professional bodies. Furthermore, she highlighted that publishing academic papers in reputed journals is crucial to bridging existing gaps in knowledge. Ultimately, these collective efforts will significantly enhance the quality of teaching and elevate learning outcomes. |

(Director–Academics,VICT) stressed the importance of advancing research through sustained industry collaborations and increased internship opportunities.He also informed the gathering about the revised schedule for the forthcoming NBA accreditation visit. Dr. Shalij emphasized the significance of the accreditation process for Vidya and highlighted its role in enhancing academic quality, institutional excellence.He urged the faculty members and students to work collectively with commitment and dedication to ensure the successful completion of the accreditation process. Dr. Shalij further advocated the integration of value-added courses, developed in association with leading academic institutions and professional organizations, to equip students with industry-relevant knowledge and skills. |
