Vidya and VTDC unite to enhances Career Readiness through Industry-Oriented Technology Workshops
Vidya encourages students to pursue globally recognized certifications that support professional growth and career opportunities in the IT industry.
To expose students to emerging IT technologies and internationally recognized certification pathways that enhance their technical expertise and employment prospects, Vidya Training & Development Centre (VTDC), in collaboration with the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML), organized industry-oriented technology workshop for Semester VII students on 31 July 2026.
The sessions began with an overview of VTDC and the Red Hat Academy delivered by Mr. Narendranath Menon (Manager, VTDC). He explained how industry-integrated training programmes and professional certifications complement academic education by equipping students with practical skills demanded by employers.
The technical segment was led by Mr. Anju (Freelance Trainer, OpSynex Technologies) who introduced students to the fundamentals and industry relevance of Cloud Computing, Linux, and DevOps. The session highlighted current technology trends and the increasing demand for professionals skilled in these domains.
A subsequent session by Mr. Narendranath Menon focused on Networking Fundamentals and the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) programme. He discussed the core concepts of computer networking, the importance of networking certifications, and the wide range of career opportunities available in enterprise networking.
The workshops attracted active participation from tCSE students and AIML students. Students actively engaged in the interactive sessions, and the feedback collected at the conclusion of the programme indicated a high level of satisfaction and appreciation for the relevance of the topics covered.
The successful execution of the workshops was coordinated by Ms. Dina C. S. (Student Counsellor, VTDC) in coordination with Dr. Sajay K. R. Dr.Sajay K.R (HoD, CSE Dept).
