CE HoD serves as Session Chair at SECON’26

Vidya’s faculty members  actively steer scholarly discourse by chairing and moderating technical tracks at key institutional and international platforms .

The Department of Civil Engineering, Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thalakottukara, Thrissur, is proud to announce that Dr. Abhilasha P. S. (Prof, HoD, CE Dept) served as a Session Chair at SECON’26, held from 03–05 June 2026.

The conference was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Ernakulam, Kerala, in collaboration with professional bodies and student chapters including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Builders Association of India (BAI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Engineers (India), Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), FISAT.

As Session Chair, Dr. Abhilasha P. S. played a key role in the effective conduct of technical sessions by moderating paper presentations, facilitating scholarly discussions, managing session schedules, and encouraging meaningful interaction among participants. She also contributed to evaluating the scientific merit of presentations and maintaining the academic quality and professionalism of the session.

Her invitation as Session Chair reflects her academic expertise, research contributions, and professional recognition in the field of Civil Engineering.
